What is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty? Non-surgical rhinoplasty is preferred for solving minor problems. It is the process of shaping the nose with a filler material without surgery with hyaluronic, acid-based fillers.
Unlike nasal surgery, it is based on the principle of camouflaging deformities (shape deformities) with filling. It is not possible to apply to every patient. The results are not permanent and need to be repeated.
Also known as injection rhinoplasty or a “15-minute nose job,” this non-surgical procedure is a low-risk, low-cost operation. There is less pain and less downtime.
For those who can’t afford the expense or disruption of surgery, or for those who truly fear going under the knife, it can be quite comforting to hear that such an option exists.
While non-surgical rhinoplasty cannot reduce the size of a large nose, creating symmetry or correcting contour irregularities can actually make the nose appear smaller on the face.
How is Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty Performed?
Small amounts of an injectable dermal filler (such as Radiesse, Artefill, Juvederm or Silicone) are injected into areas that need filling to achieve a smoother, more symmetrical appearance. The filler is injected in minuscule quantities using what is called the microdroplet technique.
This procedure is not exactly a quick one, as the result is only achieved after several treatments, lasting at least 4-6 weeks between sessions. The process is completed in as little as 15-20 minutes.
There is no pain during the medical aesthetic procedure, and the person does not feel pain at the end of the procedure. Bleeding, bruising, tampons, bandages are not involved in this procedure and an operating room environment is not required for the application.
